About
Pocket Lap started as a group chat between three friends who kept sending each other screenshots of games we couldn't stop playing. At some point we figured we might as well write it all down properly, so here we are. Nobody here gets paid by studios to say nice things, and you'll notice that pretty fast.
We focus on racing, arcade, and the kind of casual-but-sticky games you open while waiting for a train. But we don't ignore a good RPG or strategy title either, because a phone library should have variety. Everything we cover, we've actually installed and put real hours into.
Picking games is simple on paper and messy in practice. We watch what's trending, take reader suggestions, and dig through the stores for things that don't scream for attention. If a game survives a week on our phones without getting deleted in frustration, it probably gets a review.
We write the way we talk. Short bits, long bits, the occasional complaint. If something annoyed us, we'll tell you, and if a game surprised us, you'll hear that too.
